My husband and I were on a road trip and this place seemed appetizing by the menu and reviews. We stopped in and ordered the seafood gumbo and a po' boy with jumbo shrimp. How can either one of these not be awesome in Louisiana? The gumbo was just ok but not much flavor. I couldn't even finish the po' boy. The bread was too thick and not warm. WOW! Just drove into town and saw this place tucked in a corner of other retail places. Figured we try it… What a surprise… Catfish, fried perfectly. Fried Okra, not greasy at all and excellent. Red beans and Rice… Perfection. Hush puppies, fries and coke slaw could not have been better! If you're coming to town, make this a stop on your itinerary. You won't be disappointed…
I am really complex when it comes to this restaurant. I had a meal there this past summer. Everything was wonderful. However my recent fish order was not good what so ever. My fish was battered down thickly. Hardly no fish. Very very thin fish inside. I hate the rubbery thick coating used.
Food was great, but charged me an my wife about $6 for 2 cups of water. Want be back, can't afford the water.

Good Ole fish house. Fried catfish was great. So was grilled catfish and shrimp. Gator tails!
