Catfish Parlour Georgetown

(This was in my drafts. We dined last month. Food gets 4 stars. It was hot, fresh, and arrived fast. I The restaurant wasn't that busy when we stopped by. It was around 2:45pm on a Saturday. The catfish was crispy, the fries were hot and crispy, and the hush puppy sticks were great. I loved the spicy tartar sauce. The food arrived fairely quickly. The service was 3 stars. He was young and just ok. Not very attentive, we kept flagging him down when we needed something. He never really checked on us. The cashier was 2 stars, she was not friendly. A smile can go a long way!

The service is a little slow even when not busy, you have to get up to go make your own salad. The inside of the place is pretty cool. Gives you an older days feeling looking at all the old signs and license plates. It's pretty cool. The food is good. They bring out sides in a big bowl with barely enough for two people. Fried shrimp was cooked right and not chewy or old. I could have given it 4 stars but the service just wasn't there.

We have eaten at Catfish Parlour in Georgetown for many years. We are very disappointed since they recently changed their side options. They changed there original fries and they are dry and tough. Wish they would bring the old ones back! The beans are also different, they are mushy. Also if you order a 3-pk or 6-pk family meal. The fries and hush puppies are no longer automatic so you need to ask.

The fish is always good and their sides. But avoid their shrimp at all costs as they do not know how to clean shrimp and they don't clean their shrimp. I ordered my food through Uber Eats and got delivered shitty shrimp. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever in my life and I've been eating here since they opened.

Food was amazing and quick. I hadn't been to this one and I loved it just as much as the one in Austin proper.
