Being from Manchester where chippies make great fish and chips, I have struggled to find a decent chippy in the Midlands..until today! Most of the chippies I have tried have very bitty chips and/or greasy fish. Golds in Catshill are spot on in my book and as good as the chippies up North. Really tasty fat chips, just how chippy chips should be and lovely cod with a light batter. There are lots of interesting things on the menu that are worth a try.
