Quite a dampener for a 15th anniversary celebrations. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, yet the waitress wasn’t too responsive or around much. Over all ok experience but won’t like to consider it again to celebrate a special occasion. It was ok! But we have had better service in other lesser known restaurants around Calgary, Vancouver and US in a much crowded place! Not very impressed
I ordered steak medallions medium with stuffed potato. My friend ordered steak medallions medium well with rice. My steak came med/well with stuffed potato, my friend’s came medium with rice. An unpleasant situation in a restaurant of the Cattle Barons class. We traded meat and let our waiter know. I believe his name was Carlos.
We went here as a first date. I was extremely appreciative that the staff let us talk and didn't rush us to order. When our food came it was exactly the way we had ordered it and was very flavourful. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time and would definitely return
Steak was not cooked properly. We ordered a medium well and received a closer to rare steak. The manager was really good and apologetic. The server seemed indifferent. The server was not to attentive and the meal took a very long time to arrive. Book a table now
Overall, everything is good. The only comments is that I believe the reservation about my anniversary did not pass to the restaurant or somehow got missed. Anyway, we have told them afterward and they have the desserts decelerated.
Very sad to hear that one of our favorite places to eat in the NW of Calgary will be closing its doors at the end of February 2024. An excellent restaurant which has great food and service. The prime rib dinners are to die for.
Great food! Great service too. We sat down at 5pm, a little early, but the service and food remained great even as the restaurant got busier

First time at Cattle Baron Royal Oak, the service and food were good. All in, I would go there again.

"the dumplings and chicken feet taste quite good. the sauce on the chicken feet is alright, I find it a little too greasy, or maybe that's just the way how its supposed to be. service is fast but probably because I'm the only customer during my visit!"

"Even though it was a slow night at the restaurant (due to a holiday), we received subpar service. Our chicken tikka was delivered 25 minutes after the rest of our order. The manager did refund the dish, but we still left feeling unsatisfied."
