We have been to this restaurant before... the service and food was alot better the first time perhaps because we had an earlier reservation at 05:30p.m. This time we had an 07:00p.m reservation and we waited over 1.5hrs for our food, we didn 't even ordered...an appetiser. The restaurant was full but no line up and the Fresh Pappardelle, boneless beer braised rabbit was full of little bones. My daughter complained to the waitress and she said this dish with the rabbit comes with many little bones. She didn 't even know the dish is supposed to be boneless. The waitress took drink orders for only half our table, brought drinks to only two of the people she took orders from. Those two drinks were the only things brought to our table in almost an hour of sitting there. The waitress didn't disappear, she...was always within sight, often looked at our table (the one she hadn't even brought water to) and would then just ignore us. This place sells water for $6 a bottle which we were more than happy to pay, yet no $6 bottles of water were ever brought. Interesting business strategy. We recently had dinner at Il Cavallino to celebrate a milestone birthday. We started off with insalata cesare and insalata arugula followed by gnocchi al granchio, pappardelle con coniglio, osso buco and halibut which was a special for the evening. For dessert, we had the...tiramisu, creme brulee and panna cotta. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. The service was friendly and attentive but a tad slow. All-in-all we had and enjoyable night out.
I organised (from the UK) a belated wedding celebration at this restaurant. I had been before for another family celebration a few years earlier and was not disappointed that we chose to return. The food was delicious, they catered to various dietary restrictions (including a...very last minute one) and the staff were just lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant, especially for a private party.
