Yes indeed, 3 Times in less than 24 hours. Most important to our visits was Phillipe our very kind server, we took his recommendations. And Sebastian the owner is very friendly to all. We much enjoyed our Friday evening stop for a wine, The place...is a wine shop so you can select any wine from the shelves to enjoy by the bottle. Later, after our dinner we were walking back to our Inn, the town was sleeping, and we found this the only late night spot still open and lively! Also it was very rare to see in a small place, such a great selection of whiskeys, rums, gins for our after-dinner stop. Saturday afternoon after our stroll through the grounds of the fort and then through the local Saturd...
I'm a wee lover, but I discovered gin tonic in earth. once, after a market day, I am on this place. we were warmly welcomed and have a great selection of gin! so by using the cave de l’estuaire became my .gin tonic apéro place after market days and with some friends we use to go there for afterworks. they also have a good choice of tapas! they can also find beautiful weeping and spiritual. valérie, sébastien and philippe will give them good advice what they need!
We were made to feel so welcome as an English couple with some broken French between us, the man who seemed to be in charge was very friendly, more than happy to talk us through the wines, we tried a couple and decided on a...few to drink, we also bought a couple of bottles to take home. Wish we had more time to go back and try some more. Great seating inside and out, there seemed to be tapas on offer too but we didn't try this.
Our ambition was to enjoy a simple meal accompanied by a glass of Blaye wine. Objective more than reached in this extremely welcoming and friendly caviste. On the menu: mixed board and burrata. We followed the advice of the boss for the wine. Informed advice as produced by the owners. Everything was perfect and largely up to our expectations. One more to report: a salutary hand for a biker galery Thanks for everything! Book a table now
we came here for a nasty and philippe greeted us so warm that we asked him, depending on what we liked two wee , he recommended a chardonnay for my wife from languedoc gayda who knew and loved it (had...3 glasses 3euro each, much good value) and for me recommended a local wein, I agreed and it turned out.
I know they didn't have the garnel, but the mixed plate was good and the sardine pate was excellent. so also the 10h10 wein to accompany them. it needed a good bottle of wine to take and get an excellent service and ended up with. the chateau martet 2016. yum yum!
the cave de l’Estuaire offers excellent wein, let them just know what they want, they will find the right one. (or rhum (with ananas) or other specialties) simply order some tapas and enjoy the evening with a beautiful view of the citadel.
While passing through this town, we wanted to have a drink. Well not disappointed! Very friendly welcome, good advice and excellent tapas. Book a table now
Very good wine, plentiful charcuterie and cheese board.
