Amateurish set up in a lovely village setting. Seemingly run by Dutch owners, they offer poor value for money and a lousy service. The only bright spot was the young French waitress who was cheerful despite the chaos surrounding her. Punters were left standing around as the owner tried to juggle his setting availability with slow service to the tables and a 'couldn't care less attitude'.Food was very basic and for vegetarians - don't even bother looking. Wine by the glass was dreadful unfiltered stuff that should be consigned as 'home-brew'. Expensive too.Why anyone would eat here when there are several other cafes and restaurants in this charming village defeats me.. A mistake never to be r...

Of course, the view is spectacular. You can see the river and viaduct from the terrace dining area across the road from the cave. Which is what it is; a wine seller's with a kitchen. It is owned by a Dutchman whose family are involved in fishing in the North Sea and that's where my Sea Bass came from. Tasty and succulent and perfectly prepared. A decent local organic white wine accompanied this main course. Prices are reasonable. However, service can be a bit sketchy and you can be hanging around waiting for the bill. Still, the food's good whatever it may be and the view is, as I said, spectacular.

Felt a bit of a hobbyist's restaurant-a lot of home made produce, including air dried hams and the like, and carefully prepared vegetable dishes. I liked the departure from over rich 'classic' cooking, and the freshness of the ingredients, but thought on the expensive side. Specialises in local organic and sulphite free wines, for which you pay a serious premium-though not more than elsewhere. Personally I thought these wines too much like home-brew and would rather have spent the same amount on a decent Burgundy!

This place is all about the setting. There isn't really anywhere to sit inside so you just grab a bench, ideally by the wall so you can look over into the river. The wine here is all organic I think. I think that makes the grapes ripen differently because all wine of this type seems to have an underlying sweetness like rotting but it's nice! The owner is lovely and always has a chat. The food isn't varied enough for my taste. As a vegetarian it's still pretty difficult in France but the food is food quality Book a table now

Family-run, small outside bar/eating area in s beautiful spot in the charming village of Roquebrun overlooking the river (if you choose the high stools at the back). We stopped off for a brunch/early lunch and whilst the plattter of cheese, meats and salads were of good quality, mostly home produced or locally-sourced, it was very pricey with smaller portions than we'd come to expect in the area.

I've become a regular over time as the quality of the food, the wines and the place in general is great.A top spot for fresh produce, orignal and artisanal food, organic and natural wines and not forgetting the location. From the platters to the more elegant and sophisticated dishes; there is always something for everyone.

The food here was poor salads were small and just a few green leaves with a bit of tomato, the anchovy salad was a small bowl of salad tomatoes served with a tin of anchovies still in the tin to the side.and no local wine on offer, but cost over £60 for these meals with a bottle of wine

Good wines but pricey for the quality. I asked for wines without sulphites and the lady tried to offer me wines without that guarantee on the label. The wines I bought were nothing special but were much more expensive than similar wines I could buy here in Italy Book a table now

The food is OK, it has a lovely setting but is very overpriced. There are plenty of restaurants in the area serving better food at more realistic prices.
