Cavoni's Pizza serves up impressive subs that are toasted to perfection and truly massive! I tried the chicken bacon ranch sub, which, although quite sizeable, was a little on the dry side. My wife, however, was thrilled with her gluten-free pizza, which I must say was surprisingly tasty—you could hardly tell it was gluten-free. The prices are a bit on the high side, but you definitely get your money's worth with the generous portion sizes. The staff is decent, and while the interior could use some updating, it's still quite pleasant. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 3.
I told our very nice waitress that this place reminded me of Mancinos. She informed me that the owner was a Mancino but started his own business with the same recipes as Mancinos. She said their bread was better. My chicken grinder was a bit hard and the bread did not taste like what I was expecting. The filling was really generous and so was the portion sizes. I was disappointed that they did not offer pizza by the slice but was happy to see they offer pasta. I will give it another try at a later date.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, enjoying authentic Italian pizza at an affordable price. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
