Caysorn Thai specialises in Southern Thai food, which is hotter than the food of other regions of Thailand. After reading favorable reviews of this restaurant, I decided to give it a try on a Sunday. Situated on the the top floor of the shopping arcade on Thomas St (opp. the secure Wilson parking), the restaurant has an air that is loaded with the smell of belachan, the omnipresent shrimp paste used in Thai cooking. This can be off putting for some. The menu has pictures of all the dishes with a little burst in English describing what the dish is, which I found very useful. We tried the chicken with cashews stir fry, prawns with ginger and lime and crab meat fried rice. The chicken dish was...

Relatively cheap food for uni student budget (~$16) and with efficient thai service, how could uni students be disappointed?  The waitress gave a solid recommendation for the $3.9 'Ice Butterfly Pea' drink and I was really impressed (those who study chemistry will see a pH change when you drop lemon juice into the drink). It was a not too sweet and not too sour. The perfect equilibrium! Topped it off with a somewhat average $13.5 pad see eew, but I felt the crispy chicken was larger in v...

Enjoyed a banquet menu here (~$35 ea.) with a group of 10 people on late Friday night and was thrilled with the quality of food. There were so many choices for the amount we paid (although portions were a touch on the small side) and each one was delicious. I'd highly recommend this place for dinner as it's not crushingly busy compared to other places.
