The cocktails were fantastic. Unfortunately, the service is where this otherwise delightful restaurant falls short. The front waitstaff seemed overwhelmed, even though it wasn't overly busy on a Saturday night—perhaps due to it being summer—resulting in our food arriving in staggered service. A prime example was that all the breads arrived and sat on the table waiting for the main courses to be served. After the appetizers, the lead waiter asked us to keep our forks and knives. A decent restaurant should never do that! When we requested to pack our leftovers, they brought out containers and foil, along with plastic "thank you" bags. This felt a bit cheap for a place that charges $17 to $18...

I recently dined at the restaurant, and I must say, I was impressed by the overall experience. The presentation of the dishes was top-notch, adding an artistic touch to the dining experience. The majority of the food was not only visually appealing but also delectable, with flavors that truly delighted the palate.A standout from the meal was the gulkand pan refresher, which left a lasting impression with its amazing taste and refreshing qualities. It's clear that the restaurant excels in creating unique and enjoyable beverages. However, there was one slight hiccup in the form of a mango appetizer that didn't quite hit the mark. While the majority of the dishes shone, this particular appetizer...

We dined at Celebration by Rupa Vira this week, for the 5th time in a few years. We keep coming back because of the tasty and creative food, cool ambience, and friendly staff. I started with the Anarkali a pomegranate martini, which I really love and they have now added some sparkly purple dust on top which was facinating. We tried some new things, and repeated some of our favorites. We enjoyed the Lotus Stem Chaat, the Butternut Squash Kofta, the Malwani Pulav, the Dabbawala Murgh, Palak Bhutani and basmati rice. For dessert we tried two: Some Coco Kulfi, which was delicious but incredibly sweet (too sweet), and a very light and fluffy Makhan Malai (essentially an expensive large dish of wh...

Celebration By Rupa Vira is one of the finest Indian restaurants in the DMV area. Don’t be deceived by its location in a shopping center—once you step inside, you realize this is a special place where the staff truly care about their guests and are dedicated to serving top-quality food. The ambiance is lovely, with beautiful touches of art and marble throughout. The food is incredible—the lobster curry is a unique dish bursting with flavor, perfectly balancing sweetness with a hint of heat. The Dum ki Sunehri Nalli (braised lamb) is absolutely unforgettable. The taste surpasses even the stunning presentation. I wish it were closer to me, as I would dine here more often. Hopefully, the owners... Book a table now

Whooooa.... how have we gone 3 years without trying Celebration by Rupa Vira Modern Indian Cuisine !!! This was next level... every dish was gorgeous and POPPING with flavor! Rich hearty soups, the lamb shank so tender it pulled from the bone with a fork, and that sauce... bursting with fresh herbs and spices, unreal. Excellent service as well, our waitress made wonderful suggestions and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a fabulous experience. If forced to make a criticism, I'd say the music was too loud, unexpected pop for such an upscale (yet casual) atmosphere, but otherwise, absolute perfection.Go if you love next level cuisine! #BELIEVETHEHYPE

I got food poisoning after dining here last night, experiencing chills, headaches, bloating, nausea, and diarrhea. I ordered a mango lassi, masala chai, fried lotus appetizer, black currant balls appetizer, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, lamb chops, and the signature dessert. It’s really disappointing because the food, service, and atmosphere were all very good. I hope the restaurant improves its food safety measures going forward.

We visited Celebration By Rupa Vira to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, the appetizers were a letdown; we had dahi puri and scallops, which didn’t meet our expectations. However, the main courses were excellent—lamb biryani and lobster curry were both delicious and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding. Shaheenu took great care of us, regularly checking in and refilling our drinks with warmth and kindness.
