I passed by this little cafe on my way towards two of the parks in the area. As I peeked inside the door I saw some amazing cookies and pastries in the display case. I made a mental note of the location and on my...return journey made it a point to stop inside. Wow, for such a small display case it was packed with cookies, cakes, pastries, fresh breads, sandwiches, salads, pasta, sauces, muesli, jams, hot/cold beverages and so much more. The pastries/cakes were in the mini or whole cake sizes. I tried the raspberry tort and a chocolate chip cookie (4.70CHF), and these were both delicious! Went in to grab a sandwich on my way to the beach, specifically asked for ingredients in the ones I chose cheese and salad . Was told by a very unhelpful seemingly annoyed staff that “ it s what it is,cheese...and salad ! . I was sick for two days after only eating them, as there was mayo too, which I must avoid due to egg intolerance. In this day and age NO food shop should get away without showing the ingredients list,or at least,have competent staff to inform its clients. Des produits frais du jour (légumes et fruits livrés chaque matin), le laboratoire de la boulangerie est sur place et fonctionne toute la journée. L'ambiance est très chaleureuse et Céline chouchoute ses clients et son personnel. The pastries only looks good but they are nothing exceptional, similar quality to what you would find in a supermarket. We asked for a cappuccino and we got black coffee with whipped cream on top!! Cappuccino is international, you cannot serve your interpretation of it....The place didn 't strike me as very hygienic either, so I am not surprised for the comments in the 1-star review, it only confirmed my first impression.

Pour bien commencer la journée je me suis arrêté chez Celine & Sebastien. J'ai a-d-o-r-é. Attention, tout est bon ! On risque de vouloir tout goûter... Vraiment je vais m'y arrêter de temps en temps quand je passe par les Eaux-Vives car non seulement c'est appétissant mais j'ai aussi beaucoup apprécié l'accueil et le cadre. Sans oublier la serveuse. Très sympa.Je ne peux que recommander. A découvrir.
Really nice sandwiches and cakes but the girls who work there are always miserable and make you feel really uncomfortable. I've decided to stop eating in there (I will take away, maybe) because 1. the space is very tight and 2. the girls put me...in a bad mood with their sullen faces and glares. (This review refers to the cafe on rue des Eaux Vives).
If you want to be insulted while you purchase by arrogant salespeople then this place is for you. It unfortunately brings the worst of Parisian service to CH
