There's nothing quite like settling into the corner of the bar on a stormy summer evening and simply enjoying the atmosphere. Pickled cherries? Yes, please! An abundance of tapas? Definitely! Amazing gin and tonics that invite experimentation? You've come to the right place! The bartenders are knowledgeable, and the service is paced just right, allowing you to grab a quick bite or take your time, depending on what you're in the mood for that day.
When I think of Washington, DC, the first place that comes to mind is Barcelona Wine Bar. It's truly the best restaurant in the city and reasonably priced. My partner and I really enjoy the Cathedral Heights location. Katie, the manager there, has become a familiar face for us. She has a wonderful way of making us feel at home and excels at creating an atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. Food: 5/5.
Good tapas wine bar with a warm atmosphere. The place was packed and the service was quite good. The jamon and the cheese were delicious but not so much the chorizo. The mussels, steak with mini fries, and flan were tasty while we were not thrilled with the mushroom dish. Patatos were a little dry and the eggplant dish was ok. The water smelt chlorine. Overall, we had a 4.5 star experience.
My first time at a tapas restaurant. This experience was amazing! The management team was so welcoming and made sure they took great care with their customers. The food was excellent! This is the second location I have been to and I am happy to say that both locations do not at all disappoint and set a high bar for a dining experience. Always excellent wine selection and incredible tapas! The chorizo and fig in balsamic vinaigrette is my favorite out of dozens of things I have tried
The tapas were excellent, featuring a great variety and prepared to perfection. The wine list was impressive, and the sangria was exceptional. The service was truly outstanding. I highly recommend this place. Food rating: 4/5.
Nice dinner tonight! A few tapas grilled meats. Parrillada. Not a big fan of their Spanish chorizo on their parrillada. But, everything else is great. Definitely give it a try. It’s really good.Food: 5/5
