Spent a couple of days in the 14th arrondissement. Came across this place whilst I was looking for a place for lunch. It was busy and seemed quite homely and as I was after one of those comforting French meals, rich in flavour and almost like home cooking, I waited a short while for a table to become available for this solo diner. The man who I assumed to be the owner/proprietor kept me informed and was able to seat me a short time later by the window. Opting for the set menu, the ravioli was very good, probably the highlight after the little free tasters/amuse bouches. The main of 'cocotte grand mere ' was fine but I was a bit disappointed that it was on the bone. Nothing much to grumble ab...
Went there on Sunday thanks to a the fork 's booking. The waiter was nice and helpful The service was a bit too quick for home made meals. Meals were tasty but not amazing . We had tarte au citron, which was a delicious revisit of the tarte. Wine was nice too. Only starters were -20% according to the fork booking, knowing that one meal was on the today 's ardoise An overall experience : very nice but not waw. I don 't think I 'll go there again or recommend going there.
We chose it bc of published menu but received a special menu since we made the reservation via la fourchette. I started with the escargots, which was so tasteless that I did not finish. My spouse had the salmon starter which was fine. My main course included 3 different fish which was fine but I could not eat the bed of curried vegetables. My spouse had the cabbage roll with veal and pork which he said was just adequate.
Beautiful setting, nice atmosphere and very good reception of the server. The dishes are attractive and tasty, I recommend the stuffed tomato with turtle, risotto and gambas and chicken skewers. Good quality/price ratio (apéro, entry, dish, dessert 40€
