wir waren zum mittagessen im jetzigen "Thai Orchid". das ambiente ist geschmackvoll und wirkt gepflegt. die gerichte (u.a. ente in mangosauce und rindfleisch in thaicurrysauce) waren schön angerichtet aber recht knapp bemessen. wer die thai-küche mit ihrer markanten aromenvielfalt kennt, wird hier nicht ganz auf seine kosten kommen. es fehlt an feiner hintergrundwürze und am typischen "pep", der sich erst mit etwas mehr dosiert gewagter schärfe einstellt. fazit: wer mit kleinem hunger eine eher liebliche, nicht besonders überraschende thaiküche mag, wird hier sicher zufrieden gestellt...anmerkung: wenn die bedienung (hier wohl die chefin selbst) beim herausgeben durch anhaltendes rühren in d...
Regardless of the name, this is a very nice restaurant. It isn't big, but it surely is popular. If you can, reserve (they will take reservations). Or try your luck. I'm no expert on Thai food but I've had it in many places (except Thailand, of course - never been there!). This is as good as any I've had. Nicely served, beautifully prepared, tasty and delicious. One can ask for no more. The selection is excellent too. Prices are very good. Service is a bit slow but there seems to be one server for the whole restaurant (which is only about 10 tables). They have a lower-priced noon-time menu as well as the larger evening selection. So have a Singha beer, some Panaeng Gai, and enjoy!
Ein ehmaliges iItalienisches Restaurant das zum Thai umfunktioniert wurde. Das Essen ist trotz ankündigung nicht wirklich scharf und durf die Bank zu süß, Leider findet man auch wenig von den in Thalind sonst verwendeten Gewürzen.Das Essen schmeckt langweilig ist aber nett präsentiert.
Sind wir wieder bei den 25 Worten: Mittelmäßiger Thai mit Mini-Portionen, überteuert und sch... Parkmöglichkeiten.Vorteil: Polizei gleich um die Ecke falls man sich aus Frust mit Singhas angetrunken hat.
