The service was not the best and the waiter didn’t even give us water and had us wait to take our order because they had a few phone orders come in at the same time. We ordered the chicken lard nar and it was pasty and sticky…almost like it was left over and they just added some more sauce and reheated. It was goooy and sticky. The chicken fried rice was ok. The chicken satay peanut sauce had a clumpy and oily consistency. The catfish salad already had the sauce on it when they used to leave it on the side. This place needs to close or needs a hard look at themselves. Ordered some food to go. The prices are high for the area and the portions are small. That's fine, as long as the quality is there, but it's not. The bigger issue is getting sick from the food. I should have known better when I walked in the place was dead (not a big red flag) but the floors were completely sticky (big red flag) the tables seemed dirty and overall, the place just didn't look clean. I was shocked to find a nearly $2 convenience fee just for picking up my order! I refuse to patronize any business that imposes a convenience fee like this. What is convenient about me having to drive to collect my order in a county that already has high gas taxes? I would prefer if you raised your prices instead or took a stand against those corrupt politicians in Cook County who keep raising taxes. It may seem like just $2 to many, but that’s precisely the issue—this state, county, and city keep nickel-and-diming us, and we just go along with it.
To all those that knew Siam House before March 2023, this place is no longer under the same owner and cook. You will be very disappointed if you return here. It has become a Thai restaurant that caters to non-Thais, much like almost every other Thai restaurant save a few in Uptown Chicago. No more sua rong hai, the jeaw is like water.. I believe the old cook’s son has a place in Elgin now, I’ll update when I find out.

Ordered delivery around 7:25pm on a Tuesday night and had an estimated delivery time of 8:15pm after numerous delays in delivery time (up until 8:50pm, and they close at 9pm) I decided to cancel my order. A call or some sort of communication would have been appreciated.
The food does not live up to the positive reviews. I advise against ordering the soup; it's quite disappointing. The taste and pricing are completely mismatched with what you would expect. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
I just moved here from out of state and I have been looking for a new local Thai place and this is it. Only had the chance to try a couple of items but everything has been authentic and delicious.
The fried rice was made with undercooked rice, and the service needs significant improvement. There was only one person handling both the dine-in customers and takeout orders.
