I have to say, this exceeded my expectations. I ordered the classic steak and cheese, and it was fantastic—exactly as promised. It was loaded with tender, shredded meat cooked on the flat top, generously stuffed into the bun without a care. It's up to you as a diner to keep that delicious steak from spilling out. The hot pepper relish is a must-have—it’s more like a zesty dressing that enhances everything it touches. Just be prepared for plenty of steak to be falling out of that toasted bun. Forget the fork—dive in with your hands! I didn’t try the fries or shakes, but they looked really tempting. I plan to come back soon. I visited this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. While it doesn't quite compare to Jim's or Pat's in downtown Philly, it holds its own. The only minor drawback is that it can be a bit tricky to find a spot to enjoy your meal because of the layout. The thick fries, soft sub roll, and fresh ingredients were all impressive. I also tried the blueberry lemonade, which was refreshing without being too sweet. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!
I was pleasantly surprised; it turned out to be much better than I expected. The staff was professional, polite, and quick. The steak and cheese were quite delicious and had a generous amount of meat. I had been hesitant to visit this place because I've noticed a decline in the quality of steak and cheese in the DC area. However, my son encouraged me to try Charleys, and he was spot on. So far, so good! A few more visits will help me make a final judgment.
The customer service at this restaurant is outstanding, although there can be a wait to get in line during busy lunch hours. I truly appreciate how the staff treats me with respect and doesn't make me feel uncomfortable when I request extras like seasoned salt or honey mustard on my cheesesteak. This has always been my favorite spot for a cheesesteak, so it’s refreshing to see the place being run by such a great team. Book a table now
I’m very disappointed! I ordered take-out and when I got home, I found a sandwich that I didn’t even order. Gas prices are too high for me to drive back and sort this out. I tried calling several times but couldn’t get through. While I was waiting for my order, another customer came in complaining that his order was incorrect as well. I only gave three stars because the fries were hot and delicious.
The Chicken Philly was delicious! My only issue was that I requested non-whipped cream for my shake, but they gave me whipped cream instead. Other than that, the food was great. I would definitely go back!
The sandwich was still delicious, but it seemed like the person preparing it didn't put much effort into how it was presented. There needs to be a bit more quality control.
The OLD SCHOOL CHEESESTEAK was amazing! I would really appreciate it if you could seal the drinks during delivery—perhaps just use some tape on them. Book a table now
