I hadn't been there in a while, so after getting my tag I decided to stop by. I got a cheeseburger w/ chili, a kraut dog, chips and a sweet tea. My only complaint is that I wish they had hit the steamer 3 times... that really makes a difference. I'm pretty sure that's how Clifford used to do it back in the day.
Down home mid city hot dawgs n burgers like in the old days. Really great hot dogs. Pleasant staff. You can't beat this little hot dog place. Started in 1920 ,still in the family. Open Saturday til 4. Closed on Sunday. Mon ,Tues thurs,Friday til 5. Wed til 2. I promise you'll love it.
Food is fresh and prepared with care. Service is excellent which is hard to find anymore at any price point. Atmosphere is casual and very friendly. Prices are still reasonable. Street parking. Not much room inside. If you need space for a wheelchair, I would go to the other location.

The second time I have driven to LaGrange to eat at Charlie Joseph's and it was closed...although it was listed as open and closing at 4. Never another dime!
I'm giving this rating, because it seams like everybody likes this place. It's not for me, but I think everyone should try it and decide for them selves.
Very delicious food, staff was amazingly nice. Not many places like this anymore so it was nice to feel welcomed and be able to enjoy some good food.
