"I’m from NC and this is unfortunately not great bbq. Got pulled pork which was not bad but not great. The NC vinegar based bbq was pretty bad. The Mac and cheese was horrible and likely the worst I’ve ever eaten. The only saving grace was the corn bread, that was actually very good. Complete miss for me regarding NC BBQ."

Went for the Wednesday rib special. I would warn the avg person from UT that Carolina puts mustard in bbq sauce and I enjoy it. They also have a version that is thinner that is more just vinegar based. I enjoy both and would call them authentic Carolina from the bbq I know in Carolina.Mac n Cheese was made with real cheese and in house. You could taste it. Cornbread was fresh.Ribs were kept warm and tasted like a solid rib. It is a spare rib so it has extra meat. That does mean cartilage bits sometimes and that doesn't bother me. I have cooked plenty of ribs in my day and this is a solid 9 out of 10 rib and meal.

Would give this more stars if I could! Being from North Carolina makes me miss great barbecue and this WAS what I was missing. Every sauce we tried, every side item and every meat was tender, balanced and delicious. Plus the owner and his daughter were incredibly sweet and helpful.Highly recommend the peach cobbler and the chocolate cornbread was insanely good as well.Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were out of this world. We also got the 1/2 rack of ribs and pulled pork sandwich that were the best I've had in Salt Lake City.

I grew up with a family that owned a Texas/Carolina syle bbq restaurant, and I have to say this is the best bbq I've had in Utah. The pulled pork and Beef brisket are smoked perfectly, not too smoky and tender/juicy. The bbq sauces here are also great! I had slaw as my side, and it reminded me of home. Also try their Mac n cheese, it'll make your mouth water. Hands down the best Carolina style bbq you'll get in this state!

What a fantastic place. My girlfriend got the pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese. I got the ribs, mashed potato’s, peach cobbler, chocolate cornbread. I used to think Famous Dave’s bbq was my go to place. I’ll never go to another bbq place. The owner gave great recommendations as it was our first time in his place. You can taste the love in his families recipes. Go here if you’re craving great bbq.
