Top place to stop on the way to/back from the south! Spacious, recently renovated rooms, lovely and gigantic swimming pool with comfortable beds, small but well-priced menu with local products: exactly what you need while traveling! Games available, towels for the pool: everything has been thought of! Only the breakfast was a bit meager, and more attention could be paid to whether everything was still there (plates, toppings). But we will definitely come back!
I discovered by chance that the restaurant was relaunched. Friendly exterior frame and friendly staff. Too bad that in case of search with Fontager castle on the web, one is not redirected to the web page of the restaurant the terrace. So I thought it was inactive while a festivity progrm seems to be proposed. Nor did my local contacts know this existence! Go for an effort, correct this please!
Very nice place where we just had lunch, not stayed. However, while the pool is open to all guests, only hotel guests are entitled to sun loungers in the shade. The difference in treatment between hotel and restaurant customers is too discriminating. Perhaps it would be better to deny access to the pool to the simple guests of the restaurant (we were still a group of 20 people....
Beautiful frame! Communication to see again! We booked the complete castle for a wedding and the next day we were told that we had to pay €19.50 per person to enjoy the pool while we had booked for 50 people at lunchtime. This is unacceptable. Fortunately they understood that it was not correct and we were able to take advantage of it until 5pm. Book a table now
An exceptional setting, a staff with small care, a chef with an out-of-pair know-how. One less star for the maintenance of some outdoor equipment and the external sauna power cable protected by a but not buried furnace.
Unlucky to come across a heatwave and the lack of air conditioning in the rooms an infestation of mosquitoes at the swimming pool made our stay uncomfortable, despite the charm of the place
