We were staying in nearby Cahors, and this was a bit of a drive for us, but the food was excellent and the service was equally as good. The location is gorgeous and impressive. The sommelier was great. Only one slight downside they pushed ..the wines from their property. which is fine and expected, except when I asked for a Burgundy wine they seemed a bit miffed. Oh well. I'd been in the area drinking the local wines for 2+ weeks and was just looking for a change of pace. Other than that, it was elegant from the start to the very end. Be prepared to eat!
We dined here twice while staying at the chateau it was excellent both times. We selected the Menu du Chateau that was great value for 4 course. The chef changed up the menu selection on our second evening so we could enjoy some other...preparations from the kitchen. Service was excellent and Maude, their Somellier, was lovely and knowledgable. Marie, from the vinery, was also lovely and we were lucky to have a private tour of the cellar. If in the Cahors area, make the effort to dine here you'll be happy you did!
