I visited this restaurant for a meal and enjoyed the food. Later in the evening, around 10 PM, I returned with a group of friends of all ages for drinks. I entered without any issues after an ID check. However, when I went to place my order, the head bartender decided my ID was fake without even scanning it (it's genuine). He said he would keep it, which could have created major problems for me since I needed it to fly home. Honestly, I almost wished they had called the police, as that would have allowed them to verify its authenticity and prove the bartender wrong. It was frustrating that one person's judgment ruined my night—he didn’t even look at me, only at my ID.

The Squire is a cherished favorite in Chatham, providing a laid-back alternative to the more upscale dining options in the area. With its excellent music and refreshing drinks, it’s the ideal place to relax. No trip to Chatham is complete without a visit to the Squire. We always treat ourselves to their tasty oysters, and the clam chowder is exceptional. It’s a friendly place that truly embodies the spirit of Chatham, and it keeps us returning time and time again.

Parking: There is no designated parking for the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is lively, so baby noises tend to blend in well. They provide nice high chairs and have a kids' menu, although many items on the regular menu are also suitable for children, albeit in large portions.

The staff is friendly, but the overall atmosphere of the restaurant isn't very appealing, and it could be cleaner. The restrooms are cramped, making it uncomfortable to use them. As for wheelchair accessibility, I wouldn't recommend this place for individuals with mobility challenges. Book a table now

Our group of five all ordered the steak, but only one was cooked correctly. I requested mine medium, but it was served well done. I returned it, and they brought it back medium rare, which still wasn’t what I wanted. Overall, I was not satisfied. I found it overrated.

The outdoor seating was quite nice. The server was attentive and helpful, but it took an excessively long time for the kitchen to prepare a simple burger. Additionally, the drinks didn’t seem to be very strong, even though I ordered them as doubles.

I started a tab at the bar without them checking my ID. I spent $100 on drinks, then they kicked me out for not having my ID. The atmosphere was lacking, and the service left a lot to be desired.

The interior has a bit of an eclectic vibe. We chose to sit at the bar. I ordered the lobster ravioli, and my husband went for the seafood stew. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic! Book a table now
