Epic staple of my family for decades !! This is the place my grandmother always wanted to go to for her birthday and no one ever questioned it. I still dream about the little wonton chips with black sesame seeds that they served you at the bar while you waited for your table. The Peking duck is like nothing you can ever replicate and the most amazing thing on the menu. It was always amazing you have to order a 24 hours in advance at least in the past you did. I don't know why it's wrecked me but it must be like the little Bao buns not pancakes and the plum sauce and green onions,? I highly recommend the Chinese chicken salad, and the whole fish because whatever that whole fish is it's always...
Chef Chu's what more can I say this Iconic restaurant is popular for the food of Course and the elite customers known for dinning here. But what i would like to speak about is the customer service. My family and I dine-in this weekend. Four adults and 1 baby, upon arrival wait time 45 to 1 hour .. they sat us down within 30mins. The value they place on service is what will keep us coming back. We felt warm and cozy and they treated us with respect and care.. This place is the pinnacle of perfection.. I am proud to be a member of this community with such a great restaurant..
What can I say? When I was growing up in the 70s in Los Altos, Chef Chu's was the only Chinese restaurant in the area frequented by my family. It's been there forever. The food's good, but I would not say good enough to go out of your way. If you're in the area though, and you can handle the high prices common to this location, you will get some delicious stuff from Chu's.
We had a friends table for 10. The dinner was over the top and reminded me of a Chinese wedding banquet. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. My friend pre-ordered the crispy duck, bao and then at the end of the meal they served a very satisfying soup of the duck bones (but one has to save room for that! Pepper chicken was a stand out. We had a tasty feast.

Chef Chu’s is always amazing. I have been there probably 10 times and everything is great. Love their duck, dumplings, generals chicken and Mai Tai’s!!! Service is equal to the food. It’s crowded for a reason. Best Chinese food ever.
Have been eating here for many years! Great food and great service. Can never go wrong eating here, a place enjoyed by many locals. Usually very busy and packed, would call ahead and make reservations if you have a big party!
