two recent visits confirm that this is a culinary gem of klosters, which is mainly visited by locals. do not be fooled by the simple facility, budget hostel in the same building and the exceptional value for money (according to Swiss standards). this restaurant offers the best fondue...Chinoise (meatfondue) and cheesefondue in the region. we have taken many visitors here in the course of the years and everyone comes enthusiastic and satisfied. the run of the restaurant has now gone to the next generation of family owners, and they continue with the same high standards and warm hospitality
We have dined here many times over 20 years, including New Year's Eve parties and other celebrations. All the friends and family we have brought here have enjoyed it. Its the best local food in Klosters - and really good value for money in a family owned and run establishment. We especially recommend the Fondue Chinoise (meat fondue). It's 20 minutes walk out of the centre of Klosters, or a short bus ride - and then an easy walk down after the meal. There are many good places to eat in and around Klosters/Davos, but we always look forward to coming here.

On our last visit, my father was no longer with us. Even though we...had not been to the Chesa Selfranga with him for many years, the proprietor recognized me and conveyed his condolences in a friendly manner. That is the kind of personalized service at this restaurant they remember their customers well. Of course, we also had a great meal.

amazing time out during this difficult time. wonderful host who was very friendly and eating was so good. we will definitely go back and I can highly recommend for a delicious take if the restaurants are closed or if they open for a beautiful meal in there cozy restaurant.
