It was definitely a mixed bag. My wife and I started with the Stuffed Mushrooms and they were excellent. My wife had a Chocolate Martini she said it was good, I had an Old Fashioned, it tasted like they forgot the Whiskey. My wife got the Lobster Tail and Shrimp Scampi she said they was very tasty. We both got the salad with Walnut Raspberry dressing also very good. We both got the Augratin Potatoes, they weren't bad just not what we expected. My entre was the Signature Black Angus Filet and Stuffed Shrimp. I ordered the steak medium, while it was tender, it was dry and bland, the stuffed shrimp was very good. What a lovely house-turned-restaurant! We went on a Sunday evening at around 6pm. A short wait of about 15 minutes and we were seated. Our server was very attentive and friendly. My husband had the grilled cod and it was flavorful and flaky. I had fried shrimp and they were delicious! The prices are very reasonable—that was a surprise. Highly recommend.
Overall, the food was good. My only suggestion would be for them to use a separate fryer for the fries and chicken strips, as both had a bit of a fishy taste. Our server was excellent—very attentive and made sure everyone's orders were correct. The atmosphere has remained consistent and pleasant, just as it has been for over 20 years.
Classic Springfield restaurant that has been around for decades! The food portions are big and it was delicious. While it took a moment for service to start, once it did the service was excellent. The early bird specials are great deals with plenty of food for a good price!

Enjoyed visiting here again during a recent trip in Springfield. My dinner date, my grandson, and I were celebrating his 21st birthday. The food was good but I was suprised how casual the atmosphere is now.
Ordered takeout two times. Both times were well packed, hot ready. Enjoyed the food! Everything was delicious. Took pains with the French onion soup so was included with cheese and bread crumbs.
Wow!! The food was amazing!! We always look for local favorites that are not chain restaurants. We would eat there again!
