We have booked a table for 6 people with 2 kids. We have arrived on time and the staff was kind enough to bring us very quickly 2 dishes of pasta for the kids. Unfortunately the place run out of kindness right after. We have waited 30 minutes to ask for our dishes. After waiting an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes for our dishes, we were told that there was still some time to wait (not clear how much). We have decided to leave the restaurant because at 10 PM the kids were out of energy and they were starting to become a noisy problem for the other guests. To start this off right, me and my family went to this restaurant under the influence of the reviews of Trip Advisor and because of the proximity of where we were staying at the time. The food is exceptionally good. Everything tastes richer. The staff is well manered and extremely nice to the customers. They speak more languages besides french, which in my case was a blessing. The restaurant doesn't offer to pay with card, cash only, which can be troublesome if not prepared or previously warned. So here's the warning. There are not so many options for dining in the incredibly scenic village of Olmeto. Our hotel had a rather pricey and limited menu so we opted for Chez Antoine, having read reviews and checked out the menu. Friendly and efficient service, large outdoor al fresco dining, Extensive menu of Corsican dishes, ingredients and wine all very sensibly priced and somewhat departing from the usual standard tourist offering. What's not to love?
I heard a lot about Chez Antoine, so I decided to try during my stay in nearby Propriano, as it is only a 10 minute drive from Olmeto.The place is very simple with a large terrace, the service pleasant and the best of my meal was the desert. I found it little overpriced for the very casual place it is. There is no menu, it is only a la carte.
