I just popped in this place for the first time to grab a sandwich and a coffee for lunch. Not only was the food AMAZING, (I got the lentil salad sandwich) the bread is homemade, (which is the only kind of white bread i'll eat). The coffee was also amazing, as well as the service and the price. They also offered me 2 vegan cookies with my coffee, which were also incredible. I cannot rave enough about the quality of this place. New regular spot when visiting the DC area.
This charming little café offers a laid-back atmosphere, fantastic coffee, and delicious Ethiopian-American cuisine. The service is exceptional, making the experience even better. The cozy space has a lovely Ethiopian vibe, and I was pleasantly surprised by the blues and jazz music playing in the background—it added a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and plan to return multiple times to sample more of their offerings.
My wife and I had an incredible lunch at Chez Hareg. The pesto dish was absolutely delicious—finger-licking good! The coffee, a roast from Fark, puts Starbucks to shame. And we can't forget the dessert: the Napoleon, a vegan custard served on puff pastry, is an absolute must-try!
