It's very lovely tucked into the old walls of the city. It's tucked high on a bluff over looking the port. The view is a million dollar vista. Very beautiful and thus a magnet for tourists. The staff was courteous and pleasant, but not overly so. This is a popular spot, so service moved just a tad bit slow. It took a while for our food to arrive.I had a melon and ham as a starter and a veal stuffed with cheese for my main. My spouse had pasta with Gorgonzola. All food was tasty and well prepared and nicely presented. Not the best meal we had in Corsica, but totally acceptable and with this million dollar view it's a good choice in Porto Vecchio.
I went there with my girlfriend at the end of August and were very disappointed with that restaurant. The staff was nice but the food was not tasty at all and we had very small portions in our plates. We had the veal cooked with breadcrumbs (cote de veau panée a la chataigne) and the fillet of sea bream (dorade). The veal was not tasty at all, and the sea bream didn't seem to be fresh. We had the house wine too and were not very impressed. We understand that it is difficult to get a good house wine anywhere though! It was overpriced: 26 euros for the veal and more than 20 euros for the sea bream.I wouldn't recommend this place for a good meal.
It's pretty difficult to get a bad meal in Porto Vecchio, but we managed to here. In fact, apart from L'Antigu, any of the ones that offer a vue panoramique tend to rest on their laurels and serve poor food in the hope you'll be distracted by the stunning view. We had a guinea fowl leg, a lasagne and I forget the other dishes, average as they were. I've rarely resented spending €80 so much. At one point, there was a smell of burning plastic and then all the lights went out so it was a relief to throw the cash down and get out
The place is beautiful with kind of outside feeling with old stones and view. Fresh pasta specialist and the portion are big. The food is good and generous but the menu is plain and a bit boring.Still good taste which helps.The service is not great. Lacking of the details to make it nice, forgetting the wrong, water is not cold, wine not with ice etc.Sorry, too much hoping the tourists will not come back and it is a pity.

Stunning view and ambiance. Very nice waiters and service and our cozze were nice, a little dry perhaps but fine enough. The pasta was excellent- home made, fresh, tasty and a good plate full. We had a good meal and went home happy!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Chez Laurent the other night. The restaurant is very well located and staff very friendly. Amazing Moules Frites for a great price, the Courgette Risotto was also very nice. To be recommended!
Chez Laurent occupies a fantastic spot in the old city wall overlooking the bay of Porto Vecchio, almost like a cave, except in the open air, it has great views
We had a wonderful meal in this nice restaurant. We shared the delicious gambas tempura . Then we had fresh fish, pasta and homemade desserts. Just perfect !

Had a very decent lunch! Nothing fancy, but tasty and portions were enormous! The staff was friendly and helpful.
Excellent meal, reasonably priced. Restaurant has wonderful views of port from citadel. Would recommend.
