chez le gaulois is located next to the cable car station verdons in the shopping center “Le forum” around 1850. the location sells typical regional products (ham, sausage, cheese and also wine) but they also make beautiful and fresh sandwiches in front of the door. Their main speciality, served by a nice and friendly staff, is suggested during 12:00 and 16:00, which their raclette sandwich, one must try. the sandwich consists of Raclette cheese, sausage or ham, salat and tomaten and at the end it is often heated. what a delicious taste, one of the best sandwich you will experience, only made with fresh local products. they also serve some other type of sandwiches when they desire, quiches an...
excellent place at the entrance of the forum, they cannot miss it. yummy dinge that make them hungry every time they pass. big cheese that with truffles is good, meat, sausage, ingredients for mountain fondue, and the best wine cellar. take the time to admire some of the biggest bottles. they sell sandwiches in front some with truffles or foie grass. for lunch serves the warm suppe to take away. owner is very nice, friendly and happy to chat.
I really wanted to love this place, as well as load around 1650 moriond. but the incredibly rude employees asked about their products left us with a bad taste. there are also good options all over the street on farto (1650) with better...prices why do they pay more for a set? I would never recommend to even stop for a look.
directly opposite the verdons lift in 1850 there is a shopping center (the name eludes me) in the driveway is a charge picnic table, and just inside is chez le Gaulois a charcuterie boulangary terrace all in a rolled up snack life and coffee too very cheap trips (coffee €2) a great place for eating 1850
