Chez Lolo is 'moules heaven' and the pizzas a darned good too !! Lolo's is quirky and buzzy and has a great atmoshere and in spite of being mega busy the whole lunchtime the service is crisp and effecient. Everything we ordered arrived hot and well cooked, with our particular favourite being the curry moules et frites - not too hot or over spicy just a genteel creamy curry flavour in the liquor.The menu de jour is very good value for money which gives you a main meal and a simple sweet to follow (crepes and ice cream)I can thoroughly recommend Chez Lolo for your seaside tasty treat at lunchtime.
Perched at the water's edge, a down to earth restaurant overlooking the main beach at Saint Palais sur Mer. It's only open March to September and it is well worth booking, especially in the evening. We visited on a Tuesday night at the end of August and it was packed. There were plenty of staff on duty and they were very polite, friendly and super efficient. The prices are very reasonable ( €8-10 for a pizza) and there is plenty to choose from - the moules et frites looked fantastic. My pizza was delicious and my wife's salad was substantial and very tasty.
We tried to eat here when we were last in this beautiful town 3 years ago, but it was fully booked. We were more lucky this time, but we're just a little disappointed. My wife's Moules Mariniere were not the classical recipe and my burger ( I don't do sea things) was quite ordinary. The staff are great and the location has lots of character; the number of Customers is a testament to how highly rated Chez Lolo is, but nor for us.
One of the best place to eat, either for lunch or dinner. But be sure to reserve with enough time ahead, because it's one of the most loved places in St Palais and it's often booked full! The best dishes are mussels and french fries, with different variations: with cheese, wine... they have several kinds. You can also order some pretty tasty pizza, if you don't like sea food, or just a classic burger.

A family favourite - sampling moules in a restaurant on stilts as the rising tide laps under the floor. A quirky place prettily situated on top of rocks off the west side of the bay. Make sure you book in advance as it's very popular. Lots of choices on the menu and the food is delicious and plentiful.
I celebratedt our aniversary there with our child. You should book in advance especially if you want a nice view! Price and service is correct. The Owner is holding the bar and managing the staff, whihc makes overall a ey good expierience and a good price quality ratio
Great place obviously for mussels. Nice and quick service with a great variety of mussels to choose from served with a generous portion chips. Location is perfect, the restaurant itself is very basic but this adds to the charm and the summer feel!
We had been advised by someone from our village to visit this restaurant. We travelled to Saint Palais and found it. Wonderful view of the ocean. We were greeted promptly for our lunch and seated right away. The Moules Frites were very tasty.

We go here often and are never disappointed. Tables with a sea view - great mussels in all their guises - friendly and good staff with great service! What more could you want?
Great restaurant on the bay. They try very hard to welcome people whatever their nationality. Food is fab!
