As I've said in other reviews, the best places to eat and drink in Villefranche are away from the harbour front. We went to Chez Net for a drink on a recommendation. The service was very friendly, and we could relax while we enjoyed a drink. We were staying in Villefranche when going to the Monaco GP, and this was a great place to enjoy a chilled out beer after a long, busy (but great) day in Monaco, and so we ended up visiting 3 or 4 times during our visit!
Chez Net er en hyggelig café eller bar med en god og afslappet stemning. Tjenerne er meget venlige og taler også engelsk. Musikken er som regel ikke højere end man kan tale sammen.Om eftermiddagen kan man sagtens sidde længe med kaffe eller øl, uden at blive opfordret til at købe mere. Der er to diskrete tv skærme hvor de i julimåned viser Tour de France. Man kan bede dem pænt om at slukke musikken og skrue op for fjernsynet.De har god netforbindelse.
It's not chic and it's not trendy but it is oh so very real and welcoming. This small quaint bar is a place where expat locals feel at home and can relax. Great owner. Nice vibe and drinks are reasonably priced. The place to go to watch the sports and sometimes to listen to music. Every small town on the Riviera needs a Chez Net. Best thing is the owner is a really really nice guy. Chilled.
Good little dive bar run by a friendly British expat. Nothing fancy but cheap and cozy- if you are tired of looking at rich people's yachts on the beautiful Mediterranean, slip down the alley to this place and save a few bucks. Good music to boot - sometimes live. Book a table now
