Chez Papa - Table reservation

We liked this place so much we came back the next evening. Food is hearty French fare, with a good array of foie gras, and canard dishes to choose from. (For those who prefer other meats, there's enough from the menu to choose from as well) Waiter is friendly and helpful and made excellent recommendations. The three slices of foie gras was firm yet soft, the escargots well done, the beef casserole of a melt-in-your-mouth quality. Went to Chez Papa based on the recommendation of the hotel front desk and boy are we glad we went. This was my first time in Paris and subsequently my first meal and “wow” was I impressed. Service was great. Coming from American they could tell we were struggling with the French menu and they immediately gave us a translated menu we could easily understand. We started with the Escargot which was delicious and everything after that was even better. Onto the charcuterie and cheese board which was amazing. We went in as the place looks good. Orders came in very fast and size is good. Confit de canard is a must try. Steak is also good. but the escargots are the best. Simple and tasty. Price is reasonable.
