Chez Pepe was recommended by very good friends. First time we go. We have been disappointed by the lack of choice we had on this day. For main course, the choice was : tuna and tuna. Because of shortage of other fish. It was the...beginning of the evening and the restaurant, fully booked otherwise, was not yet full. Back to logical description. This restaurant is a sea food only restaurant. Not meat at all. Wine list is good and prices are affordable. Large choice especially for white wines. Starters : large choice of sea food at also affordable prices., We tools oysters and prawns. Oysters were fantastic and prawns very good and fresh. Great Main course : as I said, very reduced choice the...

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Chez Pepe yesterday evening. It's probably our or visit to date and we're never disappointed. We started with delicious oysters and whelks which were really fresh and tasty, followed by a whole Turbot to share which was...beautifully cooked and expertly filleted and boned at the table. It was accompanied with fennel, tomato and creamy mashed potato. For dessert we shared a plate of brebis cheese with black cherry jam, lovely. The atmosphere is really laid back and cool and the service young and friendly and the view of the oyster port and sunset just makes for a perfect evening. I added photos separately.

Very different from your usual restaurant, several fishing huts converted into eating houses along the Port. Unique. The restaurant was fully booked but we mentioned we were travelling from Australia and the Manager shuffled some tables to fit us in. We were not disappointed, the...huitres, fresh fish dinners were rate. Very accommodating and friendly staff, English speaking which helps our poor French vocabulary and Elody our waitress, was a delight. Highly recommended if you are in this part of France.

We ate at Chez Pepe yesterday evening for our wedding anniversary treat and what a treat . The tempura oysters and the piquilos were amazing , beautifully presented and full of flavour. The pavé de morue cooked to perfection and so fresh, bravo au chef's....The waiters were really efficient and friendly, ready to help with any request. A fantastic fish restaurant in the wonderful oyster port of Arès. Book a table now

Ate here on our second night after trying Cabane the first night. Slightly disappointed. Oysters thrown on a plate no ice, one slice of lemon but both prawns and oysters were delicious (to be expected though. Not hard here is it). Our fish...was dry and on a tasteless bed of peas, beans and artichoke and we felt it was expensive for what we got. Profiteroles were delicious but took ages.

We were on a bike tour and stopped here for dinner. Excellent seafood and we thought reasonable value (we had the mixed seafood platter and a platter of prawns to share). The service was great, we were a bit early so they let us have...a quiet drink by the water until they started serving.

The surrounding is quite original, set-up in the Port Ostreicole. The food is great (sea food obviously) and the service is very nice and friendly. Not the over-rated Cap Ferret restaurant syndrom, but a real nice and enjoyable little restaurant on the Bassin d'Arcachon. Enjoy...your stay!

I ordered both shrimps and oysters. Both were excellent although it is more expensive than in Bordeaux. Nevertheless, the place is incredible. You eat on a front view place with a sunset. The service was ok although a bit grumpy. Book a table now

my daughter had tuna and it was delicious she said. I had oisters and there were shells bits and black spots in some of them. Some waiters were not wearing their mask properly (nose and mouth uncovered)
