We were greeted by Remi and his wife which would be serving us and told that his father was in the kitchen. Remi told us that his father is not a chef but they want to show good home cooked food, and they delivered far far above expectations. A hot place where the kitchen is simple but of incredible quality. The half-cuit foie gras is exquisite. With regard to the stock of pork confit, even observation and the amount is at the date. The more all desserts are made home. A family restaurant where it makes good living and especially eating! An address not to be missed on Libourne!
Lovely family run Bistro serving excellent french cuisine by the side of the river Dordogne. Staff were brilliant, explained the all dishes in english and it for a very busy restaurant where staff are rushed off their feet they still gave a really personal experience to their diners. If you are in the Libourne vicinity you must eat here
It was amazing! The red wine braised veal cheeks was to die for. We had the cured salmon, the red wine veal and the apple tarte and a chocolate fondant. It was big portions and we got very full. You have to book in advance and I can understand why.
