This restaurant would benefit more from a menu that was wholly Chinese as their Thai dishes were subpar, while their Chinese dishes were better seasoned and prepared. Although the food was relatively average, my family and I still intend to return, given that the owners...were incredibly friendly and provided great customer service, a rarity for sure in Germany. They were also conveniently located next door to a parking garage, which is a rare convenience in Germany, as well. Food was also affordably priced. And the restaurant was very family friendly, which was important to us as we have a tween and a toddler. Overall, our dining experience was a pleasant one and worth exploring again.
Wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient. Preise sind fair. Ich hatte ein Menue mit Peking Suppe, Huhn mit Gemüse und Ente, H??? Es ist das erste Mal, daß ich Peking Suppe pürriert bekommen habe, Huhn mit Gemüse war ok, die Ente war fett und schlabberig, habe versucht diese zu sezieren und habe dann gut 70% nicht gegessen...Dazu war das Essen eher nicht warm. Gerne hätte ich reklamiert, da ich lieber warm anstatt kalt esse, aber die Bedienung hat auf mein Winken nicht reagiert. Möchte dieses Restaurant wohl eher nicht empfehlen.
Mittags sind die Preise meiner Meinung nach in Ordnung, Abends schon relativ hoch. Ich habe bisher 3 Gerichte probiert und keines davon war sonderlich gut. Die Beilage mittags ist nicht wirklich genießbar, egal ob Suppe oder Frühlingsrolle. Auch das Pad Thai hat nicht wirklich authentisch geschmeckt. Das Personal ist zudem nicht besonders freundlich, sodass ich die gute Bewertung als auch die Anzahl an Gästen nicht nachvollziehen kann.
This place is very well decorated, the service is EXCELLENT, and the food is DELICIOUS!! They offer hot plate dishes, served on an iron skillet which are a house specialty. The weekend rush is very good, but sometimes you can get a batch of mushy...rice (no problem; they are happy to change it out since it is too fresh and hasn't had time to cool a bit before being put into your container). They truly aim to please!

Wir sind äußerst zufrieden mit dem Chin-Thai! Das Restaurant ist innen sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Die Lage direkt neben dem Metropol Parkhaus wirkt etwas unattraktiv, aber stört nicht. Es gibt keinen Außenbereich, was mich nicht stört. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war immer sehr lecker und warm. Auch die Präsentation des Essens ist immer sehr schön.
Average Asian style restaurant, meeting European taste. I've spent in Tübinegen one month and I had dinner in different restaurants in town. I would say this one fall in the positive side: service is good and staff is friendly; food is average, restaurant appearance average...too. Wide selection menu; typical EU-Chinese interior. As usual this is my subjective opinion only.
we arrived in november in tubergen and stayed in hotel garni metropol, right above the restaurants. for convenience we have gedimt on the first in the Chin Thai restaurant. it was so good that we also dined the next night november). I would highly recommend the courts. a beautiful restaurant that was excellent value for money.
I really enjoyed the service, presentation, speed and price. I had the pork red curry and I really enjoyed it. They bring out a heater for the curry and the rice in a separate tin. The restaurant itself is decorated well and the atmosphere is...pleasant. I will return next time I am in the area.
