The food was genuinely excellent. We enjoyed Almond Boneless Chicken, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, a dinner-sized portion of Shrimp Fried Rice, and Curry Chicken. While a few people mentioned that the fried rice was merely rice with soy sauce, I can assure you ours was outstanding—loaded with vegetables and absolutely delicious. The Egg Drop Soup and egg rolls were also fantastic. With three of us dining, we had no complaints whatsoever about the food. The portions were generous! I visited for the first time ordered take out from right around the corner for 2 different dishes plus some appetizers. Sesame chicken sweet sour shrimp, pretty basic staples. They both were soggy rubbery with very little flavor. The fried rice was just....soy rice? No real flavor or vegetable in it. The portions were huge looked good, I will say that. It's a lot of food. Just not good food. The crab rangoons egg rolls were surprisingly fresh, though. Not greasy, good crisp, the veggies in the egg roll had a great crunch rather than the mush most have. Service..she tried. Not hard enough. Their child is runnin and annoying and sitting at peoples table uninvited. The owner was notified by differant people. She didnt care. People were getting their orders to go because of it .the food is like rubber..over breaded..egg rolls dried and burned..finally got lemon it was so dried out nothing came out..15 to 20 apiece..noy worth 7. Sorry..im looking for a new place..1 that actually tries to take care of customers
Not a great experience, the food was not good, service if you can call it that....not good. They let their small son run around table to table and said nothing even took his pants down until I got up and said something. Food presentation horrible, needed to vacuum. I will NEVER go back there...yuck!

It's hard to compare to the original Kathay House, which I adored in the 90s and early 2000s. However, the new owners have made impressive changes. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable.
This is a great Chinese restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious food. I highly recommend it!
