I 've ordered from this restaurant many times because it 's conveniently close to where I live.The food here overall is average. Many dishes are hit and miss. Stay away from the dumpling appetizers (too doughy) and the spring rolls are always undercooked and never crispy.The Moo-Shu dishes are so-so and the beef and broccoli doesn 't have much flavor or fresh, crunchy florets. And forget about asking for anything hot spicy because they will ignore your request.However, the portions are a good size, prices are reasonable, and the parking is easy.
We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint! We ordered beef and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, pork lo mein, and wonton soup. The food was freshly prepared and packed with flavor. The lo mein was particularly tasty, extremely garlicky. While it's not gourmet dining, it was one of the best Chinese takeout experiences I've had. I would definitely order from here again. By the way, the restaurant was very clean, and the staff was really friendly. Plus, you can order online, which is a big plus for me!
I tried several dishes, and everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The wonton soup and dumplings were amazing! The spare ribs were also very tasty. The shrimp with vegetables was fantastic, featuring jumbo shrimp and a generous serving of veggies. I've dined at other highly-rated restaurants in the Denville area, but I've noticed a decline in quality and freshness there. I even found a piece of steel wool in one of their chicken dishes! I'm really glad I discovered this place for when I'm craving high-quality Chinese food.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I'm usually very particular about where I eat, but the Chinese food here really impressed me. I ordered the roast pork with string beans and garlic sauce, and the portion sizes for both the meal and the rice were just right. I also tried the fried dumplings, which were absolutely delicious. They were generously filled and bursting with flavor, and the dipping sauce that accompanied them was tasty and well-seasoned. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

What kind of Chinese joint doesn’t deliver? Especially in an un-walkable/zero public transportation town like Montville. I was flabbergasted when I called a few days ago and wanted a delivery and was told that they don’t. No. 1 Wok takes a DUMP on this place. If the owners see this review, start delivering… it’s COMMON SENSE.
It was my first and last visit to this restaurant. We ordered two different combo platters, but both were smothered in what tasted like BBQ sauce. It was not what we had anticipated, and we ended up tossing them after managing only a few bites.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I know of in the state and would seriously recommend this location to people. They're chicken and beef are good in every dish I get from there and all of the dishes are good too.
The service could use some improvement; it seems the staff treats foreigners better. As for the food, it was just average, with a slightly salty flavor.

The food is extremely delicious and consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is always kept clean.
Decent local Chinese cuisine. Mostly for takeout and delivery but you can eat in also. A luncheon menu is available.
