We have been coming to this resturant for nearly 30 years and it has been run by the same wonderful people in all that time. We have always had good well cooked food and fantastic friendly service. On occasions service can be less than fantastic if there has been a rush on takeaway but staff are always quick to rectify. Dishes of particular note include special duck, special prawns (mushrooms stuffed with prawn meat), special beans (green beans with chilli pork mince) and the salt and pepper squid. Cheerful little suburban "Chinese". Clearly popular with locals we managed to book the last table on Friday evening. The busy take-away counter was the answer for those who missed out on a table.
There is a comprehensive menu of fairly standard Chinese dishes. We really enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Fish Fritters and the Sizzling Tofu (which is not on the menu but was prepared at our request).
Some of the service was a bit off hand - they forgot to bring our tea and extra cutlery - but who cares it was quickly fixed when we pointed it out. On a busy night things go wrong anywhere. The important thing was that the food was good and we had a great time.
Best Chinese food in Canberra! The flavours are authentic and the produce is always fresh. As a regular customer, I would recommend the shan tung chicken, it is the best and it usually gets sold out pretty fast! The chef also cooks meals gluten free upon request which is amazing as there is no Chinese restaurant that does gluten free meals any better!
The staff are super friendly and will do their best to accommodate you even on their busiest nights. Love this place!
The restaurant is well located in the Weston area, being close to the Coolamon Court shopping complex. Parking in the area is essay to find. The food served is tasty and plenty for the price charged. The service by the staff is excellent, and the owners are most hospitable.
