I'm sorry to do this to someone's business and livelihood' but do not go here. The service is absolutely woeful. We were the only diners when we arrived and it took more than 15 minutes before someone came for a drinks order. After another 10 minutes they came back and said they only had 4 Chinese beers (we had ordered 5) and 40 minutes after entering the restaurant they came and said they had no iced tea (to complete the original order for the final person in our group!) The food was generally poor and it took more than three and a half hours hours to serve even though the order was as simple as possible for them - we all had their basic banquet. There were numerous examples of poor service...

I recently wrote a review about an authentic Chinese Restaurant in McQuarrie Street which was filled with satisfied Chinese diners. The restaurant is modern and minimalist in decore and produces lovely food. The Chinese Palace in Main Road Glenorchy is about 30 years old and is as neat and as clean as a whistle. The food we got was excellent and authentic Chinese but more reasonably priced than in the City. We have the Banquet for 2 and we are always impressed. Under $25 each for a platter of fried Beef and savoury chinese rice After Prawn Cracker starter and the a platter of debonedPork ribs which are crunchy and tender and tasty and too plentiful. This feast ends with Ice cream and Coffee o...

This place is starting to show its age and could do with a refit and update so it is like going back in time. The food well the menu is extensive with a lot of dishes from different parts of China. The food was tasty and there was plenty on each plate. We both had a soup to start but they both tasted the same except one had won tons and the other had prawns so it would be fair to say they use the same base.the Sichuan beef was not as hot as I would have liked (spicy) but you could get some heat from it. My friend had the chicken with vegetables and he was happy with his meal. The special fried rice was very average.Cheap enough with two Tsing Tao beers and a total cost of $72.There are better...

I have never had a bad meal here! I have had both take away and eaten in and the staff are always friendly. We always order the same banquet when eating in and the staff are happy to cater for substitutions with dishes. The restaurant is generally quiet and they have an extra dining room for when they are operating at full capacity. My personal favorites are the chicken and sweet corn soup, chicken and cashew with rice and Mongolian beef with rice. Book a table now

Wines were well known Australian wineries at very reasonable prices. $16.80 to $32 a bottle. Very broad menu covering the usual, plus chef's specials and of cause take away mesls as well. Meals were very large. Place looks a little run down but service and food very good. Will be back again for sure. The Hobart showgrounds are close by (walking distance) perfect place for a meal out for caravan and motor home travelers.

Paid $15.90 for a combined rice lemon chicken to get about 1/5th chicken and the rest was rice. At this price you should get a seperate tub for rice with a decent amount of 'main meal'. Lack of sauce and flavour also, forced myself to keep eating because I am hungry but fully expecting to be sick latre. An unkept shopfront which should have been a dead giveaway. Absolutely terrible value for money.

My partner and I enjoyed our lunch on the special menu from Tue -Sunday which is pocket friendly and the food was just great. I had the chili chicken with rice, spring rolls to start and my partner had the chicken sweet corn soup and beef curry with rice. Will definitely come back again and highly recommend it be it Dinner or lunch☺

Simply the worst Chinese I have ever been served it was inedible. I would not recommend this place the meat was gross and could not be cut it was that fatty. Sauce had a foul taste and the rice tasted metallic.
