Lovely service but very poor food. Six of us ordered, two chose the only vegetarian salad on the menu. We were informed that the kitchen did not have some of the ingredients but there was no other choice on the menu so we proceeded. Basically a bag of salad leaves on some beetroot hummus and some balsamic glaze added. Very poor effort for £14 each. The service was great as we had a wheelchair with us and the staff could not have been nicer but the food was appalling. Others in the group later commented that their dishes were poor too. This is the second Zizzi's I have experienced poor cooking in one year. Won't be returning.
This restaurant offers the best customer service and food quality that my family and I have experienced in a very long time. Despite being warned about potential delays due to a staff shortage in the kitchen, the service was quick and efficient from start to finish. We enjoyed watching the kitchen team in action, as I am a chef myself. The only downside was noticing a job vacancy with a lower wage than expected, which may lead to losing talented staff. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for their amazing service and food quality. Thank you.
We had a great experience at this restaurant today. The staff welcomed us warmly and we enjoyed our meals. I had the winter caprese as a starter and it was delicious. My partner had the sticky pig and really enjoyed it. We did have a slight issue when the loaded fries we ordered as a starter ended up being served with the pizza as a main course, but overall we were very happy with our meal. The bill came to £50, including drinks, which we thought was a great price for the quality of the food.
We had a great dining experience during our recent visit to Newcastle. The staff was efficient and friendly, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We would definitely return to this restaurant if shopping in the MetroCentre.
