Great place to grab authentic style Mexican tacos in a low key atmosphere. They took a former car body shop and crated a unique restaurant space that merges the history of the former space with Mexican taco shop flare. They serve some mixed alcoholic drinks out of old gas cans further adding to the ambiance. Most of their menu items are good and they have a taco combos with a choice of sides like Mexican style street corn. I like their hand cut chips and guac and they used to have a great salad with radishes. My lease favorite dish was their chips and queso which was more like velveeta than the traditionally white Mexican style queso.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed with their setup which included a walk-up counter, a bar, and indoor and outdoor seating. The staff member who took my order was very friendly. I ordered a brisket taco and street corn on the cob, and was informed it would take about 4 minutes, which was accurate. The food arrived nice and hot, and tasted fresh. The brisket was cooked to perfection and seasoned well, paired with the soft corn tortilla and toppings it was delicious. The street corn was also delicious. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

What happened to this place? This review is based on a visit several weeks ago. This restaurant was our go-to during the pandemic. The staff was friendly, engaging, and the food was incredible. Unfortunately it?s gone severely downhill the last several months, not sure if it changed hands? The super friendly waiters and bartenders we were used to are no longer there, you place your order via the app then some random person just comes and drops food at your table. No ?welcome

The ambiance at this Mexican restaurant set in a 1970s chop shop is cool and unique, but the food and drinks didn't quite meet our expectations. The guacamole and yuca fritters were good, but the tacos were not very memorable, especially considering the limited Mexican food options in DC. Despite this, we continue to visit because of the interesting setting, though we usually just stick to the average margaritas. Book a table now

The food was average, but the atmosphere was fantastic. The side of pineapples was disappointing as they seemed to be canned. The chicken taco had an odd flavor, resembling warm canned tuna. The chips and salsa were nothing special, similar to off-brand tortilla chips, with a salsa that lacked much flavor. The margarita scored a 5.5 out of 10.

Always great tacos, margaritas and service. Go Double Mezcal for best value flavor! Goes amazing with their one-of-a-kind guac. Fun bar seating facing open air out front or quaint patio seating in the rear. Birria Quesadilla is a must have! Everything else is very good. See you there!

Nice place! It was very good stay here, you can choose inside or outside. Very friendly and fast service, delicious foods and drinks, you can order the food from the QR code and pay in it too. For me, it's a big plus. I really enjoyed this place and recommended it!

Had never been before. I love being able to order from my phone however not what I expected as it was my 1st time. Food was good but it was a but chilly in the restaurant and food came out a little shifty. Everyone was nice though. Book a table now

There is always a vegan taco option, plus chips, salsa and guacamole. The drinks are delicious and elegantly served. The atmosphere is really cool, an old car shop retrofitted as a hip restaurant. Highly recommend!
