CHOPINAR is a great option for trying typical Colombian street food but without the health concerns that can come with that... specifically with the ahi (sauce for the food We folks from North America and Europe are usually advised to stay away from water and...fresh veggies. Mostly from eating on the street, without caution, after a night of drinking too many Aguilas or Club Colombias. Chopinar is a very safe place to go for people who want to try good typical Colombian street food, without...

We tried this restaurant only due to reviews we saw on Trip Advisor and it happend to be close to where we were stayiing. I really don't know what all the hype is about. It is a fast-food restaurant of relatively poor quality meat. The...kabob-style pork I had was very dry and I had to wrestle it off the stick to even attempt to eat it. The potato patty was drenched in so much Becel (or other imitation butter flavor) that it lost any pretense of being anything but unappetizing. Trust me, I don't shy away from eating street food from vendors, and feel that I should have eaten from the one that night and had a much better meal.

I heard a lot about this place so i gave it a try. I tried most of the menu but over all it was ok. The arepas and chorizos flavor are almost the same than the arrieros down the street and they are a lot...cheaper. I had better food in other places and more inexpensive.
