We did not have a reservation but we were accommodated within 5 minutes. Unfortunately the waiter had a poor attitude from the beginning. He had a problem understanding what we wanted to drink despite us pointing our order on the drinks menu. When he returned...with the drinks he slammed them down on the table. Our food order was taken; one of the party wanted potatoes but she was told that she could only have fries. We then noticed boiled potatoes on another table so it was clear that this was incorrect. We booked in advance via email as there were 9 of us and I have seen that the place gets very busy. Table was waiting and as I said the name I'd booked under he owner remembered my first name. Good table, child seat in place and waiting. Service was helpful and fast. Food came quicker than expected as we didn't have a starter.The food was all excellent. Price fair.We all enjoyed our visitTIP - little English spoken but we got by with the little French I have.
We had the raclette which was a) fun and b) delicious and c) reasonably priced. Service was fine, we muddled by in franglais but I think we may not have made the most of cooking the other food apart from the cheese. People next to us had a fondue and it looked delicious. I would definitely go back because the menu is a bit different, service is kind and fun, it's reasonably priced and a break from the usual steak menus on the grand place.
This is a great little restaurant. Recommended by our hotel (as it was next to it) great food and brilliant service. It's located at the edge of the Grand Place which is nice as it's out of the main hustle and bustle of the square but still has an excellent atmosphere. The food was top notch, a recommend would be a Welsh (a traditional northern France dish). All in all, an excellent restaurant and one I'd be happy to visit again!

Tricked by the Ch'ti part of the name of this restaurant, we were surprised to find the “specialites savoyardes” on the menu. There were a few tempting options and in the end we had good quality dishes, generously sized, accompanied by a very good wine. The decoration is nice, professionally done and the service has been prompt.
My brother and I were visiting Arras as part of a Leger tour. Tasty lunch, promptly served. Also they sold me a Trappists beer glass, which sadly got broken on my way home. All in all an excellent meal at an excellent price. I'll be back for lunch and to buy another glass please, next Easter.
We came upon this restaurant on our first trip to Arras, food was superb, staff were friendly, ambience was perfect for our first meal on our recent trip. Decor inside the restaurant was rather quirky which added to the experience. We will certainly return next time we visit Arras.
In the grand Place away from most of the other restaurants this is well worth a visit. The La Potence is excellent as was the service. Eaten here three times now and will always come back.

We ate on my daughters recommendation, the food and wine were excellent, we had raclette which was superb - and Rose and Red wine which were both enjoyable, I can't recommend.
Nice staff and nice food. Visited here today whilst we were in Arras and would go back if we were in the area again.
