Since the late '70s through the '80s and into the early '90s, this has been my go-to spot on weekends. The gyros are the best, the service is excellent, and it's simply a fun place to be. I'm planning to take my sons and wife there soon! One suggestion: you should create an Instagram account to showcase some great pictures of your restaurant, food, and customers! Thanks for all the wonderful memories!
This is definitely the best gyro place around! The owner is dedicated to not just keeping this restaurant running, but also ensuring it thrives with his amazing food and welcoming atmosphere. I have so many great memories from over 40 years of dining here, and it's wonderful to see many young customers carrying on the legacy of this iconic establishment in Wilmette!
Its hidden gem. Had a chance to try their gyros and fries and cheese burger. Those were awesome filling for the tummy at a very reasonable price. Guy serving food was very friendly too. Worth a try!! Keep rocking chuck wagon team!!

The Chuck Wagon is a little place in downtown Wilmette I have been eating at since I was a child.It was great to have lunch here today!! Brought back so many good memories!!! We enjoyed burgers and fries and great people!
I have not been here in almost 30 years. Not the same owners and service was ok. I had a double cheeseburger that was much smaller than the bun. Fries were good and a can of soda14.77. Not worth it!
