Visited recently with friends, their meals, lasagne and small gammon were fine apart from soggy chips. I asked for curry, choices were chicken korma or balti. I ordered korma . The very pleasant and efficient young man waiting on said there maybe only one portion...of korma left, I said I'd have the balti if their was no korma, half chips, half rice. My curry, whatever it was, was terrible. It deftinitely wasn't korma, it didn't resemble a balti either. The chicken was cooked to death, grainy and dry. The chips and rice were very soggy. They charged extra for half and half , why,? I assume it was for the chips as their was a lot of soggy rice. I told the waiter it wasn't very good, he apolog...
A nice cosy little pub with great food, we were served again today by Holly, she is always on hand to offer great service. We don’t go out too often for Sunday lunch as it is normally disappointing, but the Church House Sutton is worth...a try the Yorkshire puddings are nice and normal looking not like the big ones elsewhere that taste of cardboard, the meat is always tender the roast potatoes are lovely served with buttery mash veg and tasty gravy. The wine and other drinks are very reasonable . There is a large well spaced out beer garden and child’s play area to the rear with a small covered seating area. From next the Oct there is a special food offer for NHS Key workers.
First time back since last year. booked a table with two friends, got seated to nice table clean and a bit of a sun trap. food was really nice, all of us had the fish and chips, good quality. the draught beer was lovely.all staff...wore masks while Serving , the toilets were clean. perfect night thank you church house inn, will be back.
First time in The Church Inn. The food Board Looked Very Impressive .I just Wanted Something Light And A pint. No problem Light meals Available.I went For The Scampi And Chips It Also Came With A Nice Salad On The Side. Friendly Bar Staff.Nice Clean...Sitting Area Outside.With nice views.Nice Choice Of Real ales.I Shall Be Back.

Called in with great expectations. I had the Sunday roast (beef). Swimming with gravy all over the Yorkshire pudding and veg. The wife had the small lasagna. Chips were soggy and not much taste in the lasagna. In truth other people were raving over there...roast dinner, but sorry, not for me.
Stopped on the off chance of getting lunch after walking the dog. on a Monday is usually a no go in the countryside. We were welcomed by lovely staff, great undercover outside seating area and fab service. Food and beer were fresh and well...presented. Thank you

Lovely local pub with a big welcome and even bigger portions !! The chicken tempura starter was huge followed by full plates of fish and chips and scampi for mains . The home made chips are AMAZING. Would definitely recommend

Stopped off here on a walk with friends. Only had drinks but the service was good by friendly staff. Food looked nice that people around us ordered. Great outdoor space. Would highly recommend.
