I gave 3 stars for the food, which we all enjoyed, but we were initially charged for a ciabatta prawn sandwich and received a sliced bread sandwich instead. The service was good, but our incorrect order was not noticed. When I mentioned it at the time of payment, it was quickly sorted out with an apology. We tried two different meat pies from the specials board, which were very tasty, but we would have liked a larger portion of vegetables. The atmosphere was quiet for a Saturday afternoon. Having eaten here a few times (the Farmhouse Grill is amazing!! so when my wife’s mum passed away and the funeral was at the church just down the road it was an obvious choice for the wake. What a fantastic effort by Shelagh and her team. She went to great lengths to ensure that it went without a hitch and the food was incredible, the quiche was absolutely fantastic, best we have ever tasted and the whole thing went perfectly in nice surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere. Just Perfect!!! Thanks to you all. Would highly recommend this venue for any type of function. Or just a great place to eat and enjoy very well prepared food and good drink for a social meal out.
Lovely pub to end a long walk in the beautiful surrounding area. They have a good selection of beers and the menu is nice. I really like the chips here too. The staff are really friendly here too and happy to help. They have a covered outdoor area and a play area if you have kids. I’m 90% sure that they have heaters out there too. All in all, a lovely pub.
This afternoon we had a lovely meal at Church House. Unfortunately there was no Apple Crumble left and the chief came out to apologise. I thought this was a lovely touch as this doesn't often happen when you go to a pub. Thank you Church House what fantastic personal service.

What a nice pub to go and eat . The place was clean and tidy, and the staff was polite and pleasant. We ordered off the specials menu, which came out piping hot and tasted delicious . If you get the right weather there's outside seating and a kids play area.
I stopped by with some friends for a quick drink and ended up staying longer. The service was fantastic, with a great choice of beers. I would definitely recommend this place. I'm not sure if they allow dogs, but if they do, I will definitely be back.
Stopped off here on a walk with friends. Only had drinks but the service was good by friendly staff. Food looked nice that people around us ordered. Great outdoor space. Would highly recommend.
