Oh God, this pains me. I lived locally to The Church for thirty years, only moving a couple of years ago and have been back sporadically for drinks since. But this is the first time in a long time that we'd had food. Take a look at the photo of the fish. Looks lovely doesn't it? The kind of battered fish you'd expect in any pub serving food. We hadn’t been to The Church Inn for some years but we enjoyed the lunch which was low cost and simple but certainly value for money. The Church is not a modern ‘pub’ which is no bad thing, but the young barman was most welcoming. It was however very annoying that a regular customer who had two dogs allowed them to bark and bark, which was made our conversation extremely difficult. It was really disappointing that this lady owner of the dogs appeared unconcerned and that the Bar man did nothing. We won’t be back.
We have just got back from Xmas dinner at the church. What a fantastic time we had. There were 14 of us. The food was great, the service was great. Cannot fault anything, other than it went to quickly. Really was a xmas to remember! I highly recommend the Church to anyone
I came in with my boyfriend for a few drinks and was served by a lovely girl I think her name was Megan. Excellent service would definitely come again! She was so smiley it brightened my day. She asked if I wouldn’t mind leaving her a review, obviously I said yes.
