"The food is okay. Definitely try the jalapeño ranch sauce. The salsa is pretty good. Queso is a separate charge. Prices are similar to other Tex-Mex restaurants."

We went for our first time last evening and were -- simply put -- blown away by the high quality of the tasty food AND the incredible friendliness of the attentive staff. We both had chicken burritos with Hatch green chile sauce -- just INSANELY yummy. The salsa we started the meal with was a truly "fresca" salsa -- lots of lime. Very tangy. Exceptionally good. Chuy's keeps late hours, too -- at least by Okie standards. (They close at ten p.m. -- and that was PERFECT for us last night, as we loathe the idea of being "those guys" who show up at five until nine when a place closes down at nine p.m., ya know? Such a stupid thing to do. Seriously.) Five stars for Chuy's?  Easily. Absolu...

I've had better. We went on a Friday night with a 15-minute wait. Very surprising. Our host attempted to take us to a table that was not on the patio as we requested. So I tracked him down to let him know and he seemed to be rather put out. I tried to make my request light-hearted, but he wasn't having it. Maybe he was just having a bad night. Our waitress was decent, but she never smiled until we were about to leave. However, service was impeccable and the food was served hot as expected. As I mentioned above I've had better service here as well as in Texas. The Texas folks seem to enjoy where they worked. They seemed as whimsical as the decor. Not so much here in Norman. Either way...

My daughter in law and I ate here last night. The salsa and queso were both too spicy. We asked the waiter, Tyler, about it and he said that the degree of spiciness in those dishes depends on who is making them. The service was good, but I don't feel like gambling as to whether I can eat my food or not depending on who's cooking. I won't choose to eat here again.

Food has always been great. The service is very hit and miss. It's either really good or really poor. If you get lucky with your server remember their name and ask to sit in their section otherwise you have a 50 % chance if getting good service
