We have stopped at Chuys many times as we travel from Arizona to California. We enjoy their food, and their festive restaurant. It is very comfortable, and casual. We came into the restaurant on 10/15/22, to find it busy, expected as it was a Saturday night at 6:30pm-ish. Waited ten minutes as two couples couldn't decide to order. As we stepped up, then another clerk came to the register to take our order, and took the people who just walked in ! I ordered a cheese quesadilla, but she charged me for a chicken and cheese quesadilla; I ordered a chardonnay, which was never brought out to me. When the food was delivered, I told our server. After many years of operation, they have unfortunately closed their doors. It used to be a bustling restaurant, always packed with customers and offering some of the best food in the valley. The sign initially posted on the door indicated they were closing for renovations, but it now appears they are shut down for good. Such a shame.
We were truly saddened to see this restaurant close its doors. We've been checking in every week, holding out hope for its reopening, but unfortunately, it won't be happening. We've shared many wonderful moments here with family and friends over the years, and we've really cherished this quaint little spot. It will be deeply missed.
The food I had before they closed was average at best. It felt like inauthentic Mexican cuisine, likely prepared by people who aren't true to the culture. I'm certain the beans were canned, and the meat tasted frozen. Overall, the quality was poor, and I would recommend staying away.

Food, service. Ambiance. They have it all. Best local restaurant in town. Have their wonderful chicken and Tri tip.
Just leaving chuy's again on 10/15/22 230pm. Staff was wonderful across the board. Food was awesome too.
