I have dined at Ciro three times over the past 2 years, most recently last week. On each occasion, i have been served both superior and mediocre dishes, with the quality of the best dishes motivating me to return. My most recent visit stayed true to form: my entree and dessert were outstanding, my main course underwhelming. But it was the service experience, once again totally unsatisfactory, that has convinced me never to return. Great Italian food and wine at reasonable prices. Restaurant seems very popular, so expect loud ambience and busy servers who do not smile much nor give recommendations for the food and wine, except for the young female servers who were friendlier. We had caponata with burrata cheese and tartare of shrimps as starters. Followed by fillet of beef and roasted pigeon. Total bill including 2 aperitifs and a bottle of wine is 235 SFR (before service charge).
Service is incredibly slow and the dishes , despite being presente on the menu as very qualitative ones, were very disappointing. The “fregole con burrata and tartare di tonno” was supposed to be a delicate dish to savour the mozzarella and tuna tartare, however with garlic, plenty of olive oil and chili and lemon the whole taste was confusing, and nobody got the identity of the plate. This restaurant is not yet mature to position itself as gourmet.
We arrived in Geneva very late in the evening and this restaurant was the only one in the area with an open kitchen after 10pm. It was a real lucky strike! We were impressed by the quality of the food being an Italian, I can totally vouch for it. What was even more impressive was the waiter's politeness and professionalism, who was around to assist us for anything we needed.

Everytime I go to Ciro, the service is incredibly bad. All of the waiters are very courteous but they are clearly understaffed and not very organized. I keep returning because the menu is always interesting and very inventive but unfortunately, each time I’m disappointed by the extremely slow service. Hopefully, one day they will fix this problem!
Authentic southern Italian food with a proper neapolitan atmosphere. Tasty and creative dishes. If you are in a rush or don't want to discover new tastes, go to a fast food place and don't leave silly comments!
We ate in this place, we really enjoyed it, it felt like being at home, the welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff and the owner Ciro, a fantastic person, all accompanied by quality food, it's worth trying!
The food is authentically Italian and delicious !!! A must ! The service is impeccable, we really we really enjoyed coming to Ciro.
