Service at this location is horrible. I placed a curbside pickup order for Potato salad. Received text saying to respond OMW when I was on my way. Done! Received a text to respond HERE once I arrived. I did this but received a message that said Oops, we couldn 't find your order . How do we get from let us know when you 've arrived to now we don 't have your order. I call inside and am told they have my order but can 't print it for 10-15 minutes. Of course I 'm confused. Then Im told well I can print it but you have to wait 30 minutes or you can come in. Mind you, Im looking and see there is NO ONE in line AT ALL. What they do well, they do really well. I would stay away from the Mac and Cheese. Not enough cheese and no seasoning. The coleslaw needs more seasoning and vinigar. The sandwiches are a bit small. The texas toast is just a slice of toasted plain bread. Those are the cons. Pros are, The Meats are AMAZING, I love the ribs) the hush puppies are some of the best I have had. The greens are so good you will be supprised they are a chain resturant. The deserts are really good and so are the pickles. Everything tastes home made. The to-go service is some of the best I have ever had. We order from there for work once a month and they do the best job of anywhere we order from. Big order no problem!!...
The prices are too high for what you get, and the food was dry. I ordered a brisket sandwich that cost $20, but it only came with four thin slices of tough, dry brisket. The fries were overly salty to the point of being inedible. It's surprising that they don't offer any meal with a side for less than $20. Overall, I don't think it's worth it; there are plenty of other places with better quality food and more options. Rating for the food: 3/5.

07/07/23: I had a terrible experience with their catering service after spending $1400 on food for an event at our office for 40 people. We had planned this event MONTHS in advance, yet the food was over an hour late arriving! I didn’t receive any notification about the delay; I had to call them multiple times for updates, which felt completely unprofessional. On a positive note, when the food finally did arrive, it was actually quite good.
We wanted to try City Barbeque as we had just seen it driving by. We tried it for the first time and it was okay. They have several text coupons that are available and we got the Judges Sampler to share. Overall, I thought the food was on the dry side and did not prefer the flavors. There was a steady flow of customers, so overall I think people enjoyed it. I just prefer a more juicy BBQ personally.
It's been a while since I've been to this location, but it's still amazing. I actually had the ribs for the first time and they were great. I usually get the pulled pork which is also good. Overall I'd recommend a good BBQ place with the family. It was quiet and clean at the time we went. Great job to the cook and the workers keeping the place running. Give everyone a raise!
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The brisket is incredibly tender and melts in your mouth. The green beans make a perfect accompaniment. The hush puppies exceeded my expectations, too; they were moist on the inside with a nice crunchy exterior. Overall, I give the food a 5 out of 5!

Incredibly clean and smells amazing! Although it’s a chain barbecue joint, it is always delicious and consistent. The employees do a good job at only serving high quality food. I did think the portions were a tad small but it was tasty.Be warned- you might leave smelling like smoked hickory! :
I thought their Brisket was very good. I consider myself a bit of a snob about BBQ having eaten at the best places in Memphis. I also enjoyed their ribs but only had a sampler of those. I will be back.
