No matter how long you 've lived in Melbourne, it 's always a great feeling when you 'discover ' a new hidden gem. Celebrating my best mate 's birthday, we checked out City Grill Room after a few influential peeps suggested it. We may have been late to the party with this discovery but lord it was worth the wait. Starting off with their Boerewors with sweet chilli sauce and a serve of their grilled Camembert, we knew we were in for a thoroughly enjoyable meal. When someone is able to take the most simplest meals and ensure they are done to perfection, it becomes a breathtaking experience. FYI YOU WILL LOVE THE SWEET CHILLI SAUCE! Need to get me a few dozen bottles!! Our mains were their eye...
Best customer service.. delicious steaks cook perfect to our liking, and a great wine list.. surprise birthday dinner and waiter surprised us with a baby birthday cake and say happy birthday along with us !!
Exceptional food. We tried the pork baby back ribs, chips and salad then went back to sample the beef short ribs. A Cinderella mocktail washed it down nicely. Will definitely return
